NIC Chhattisgarh Celebrates 150 Years of Vande Mataram
The National Informatics Centre (NIC), Chhattisgarh organized a special event to mark 150 years of India’s national song, “Vande Mataram.”
Originally composed by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay on 7 November 1875 (Akshaya Navami), Vande Mataram completes 150 years in 2025. The national song stands as a profound symbol of India’s unity, dignity, and unwavering devotion to the motherland.
Recognizing the historic significance of this milestone, the Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated a series of nationwide celebrations on 7 November 2025.
On this occasion, officers and staff from NIC Chhattisgarh State Centre and all district centres joined the program and viewed the Honourable Prime Minister’s address to the nation via live telecast.
Following the address, all NIC officials and staff connected through video conferencing participated in the collective singing of Vande Mataram under the leadership of Shri Abhishek Singh, IAS, Director General, NIC.
During the ceremony, attendees shared their reflections on the historical, cultural, and national importance of Vande Mataram, expressing deep respect, devotion, and commitment to the motherland.
