The SARTHI, online driving license issuance system has won the Skoch Gold Award 2016 for its successful implementation in 100% RTOs and RLA offices of the Himachal Pradesh Transport Department. It has been a herculean task to test the software, train the Transport Department officials and port the existing data for every RTO and RLA office. All the DIOs of NIC Himachal Pradesh have contributed in its successful implementation efforts.

Sh. Bhupinder Pathak, Project Coordinator and DIO Kangra and officers of NIC Himachal Pradesh received the Award in the Skoch summit held in Hyderabad on 8-9 September 2016. The eDistrict Project of Himachal Pradesh also received the Gold Award. The Project has been integrated with the HimBhoomi software of NIC Himachal Pradesh for online issuance of certificates. Presently, the services being provided through LokParman Patra software, developed by NIC Himachal Pradesh, are shown in the eDistrict dashboard.

The NIC Himachal Pradesh also won 14 Skoch Orders of Merit for 14 other Projects, including 4 District level Projects developed and implemented by the DIOs/ADIOs. The District level projects are, Red Cross MIS, Small Savings MIS, Document Management System for Record Room and web enabled Saarthi implementation. Sh. Bhupinder Pathak, DIO Kangra, Sh. Sanjeev Kumar, DIO Una and Sh. Akshay Kumar, ADIO Kangra received these orders of merit.

The 10 State level projects, which have been awarded the Order of Merit are Forms Repository, Examination Processing System, HP Telestroke Android App, eSamiksha, CM-REFNIC, e-Bills, NGT Rohtang Permits, Single Window System, Circle Rates and e-SRT. Sh. Sanjay Sharma, Sh. Sanjay Kumar and Sh. Ashish Sharma received these orders of Merit on behalf of NIC Himachal Pradesh.
