Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched the “Gramoday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyaan” on 14-04-2016.  On the eve of National Panchayati raj Day, Hinjilicut block of Ganjam district, Odisha adjudged as the best block in the entire country under the Gramoday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyaan  programme.

The programme was inaugurated by Hon’ble P.M. Shri Narendra Modi at Jamshedpur, Jharkhand on 24-04-2016. Hinjilicut block was selected for its overall development and achievements in the fields of Sanitation, Financial development at GP level, Utilisation of funds, supply of drinking water and Women empowerment.

Sri Manoj Swain, BDO, Hinjilicut and all Sarpanchas received the awards from Sri Choudhry Birendra Singh, Hon’ble Central Minister for Rural Development and Panchayatiraj.

In order to capture and publicize the entire programme at various levels i.e. Block, G.P., Village NIC has prepared a mobile app “Gramoday” which can be downloaded by the general public from the Google Play store. The contents were uploaded to the website prepared by NIC through the mobile app i.e. http://gramoday.nic.in .

NIC, Ganjam played a vital role in imparting training to the block staff on the mobile app and gramoday web site. NIC, Ganjam uploaded and published the highest number of contents in the gramoday web site in Odisha.
