The 9th Agrotech Exhibition-cum-Seminar was held at IISR (Indian Institute of Sugarcane Research), Telibagh, Lucknow from 16th to 18th February, 2013. The event was organised by a popular monthly magazine ‘Agriculture Today’ in association with premier agricultural institutions like PHDCCI, CARD, ICAR and it was supported by Government of Uttar Pradesh.

The event aimed to provide an opportunity for participants to showcase products, services, schemes and technologies to potential users and farmers.  NIC Uttar Pradesh also set up a stall in the exhibition to showcase NADRS (National Animal Disease Reporting System) and the various other ICT based farmer-centric applications developed by NIC. The stall grabbed the attention of many visitors and more than 500 farmers visited the stall, seeking information related to SMS facility and NADRS portal etc.

Shri M. Moni, DDG from NIC HQ delivered a lecture on Animal Husbandry & Agricultural Informatics in the seminar. Different projects and schemes related to Cattle/Buffalo farming, Pig Farming, Duck Farming, Boiler farming, Layers farming etc. run by Animal Husbandry Department were showcased in the fair. Veterinary Doctors were also present in the stall to help and guide the visiting farmers.
