Review of Digital Services of Higher Education Department, Chhattisgarh
A high-level review meeting was held at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan to assess the progress and effectiveness of digital services of the Department of Higher Education, Government of Chhattisgarh. The meeting was chaired by Shri Avinash Champawat (IAS), Secretary, Department of Higher Education, and attended by Smt. Rita Yadav (IAS), Commissioner of Higher Education, senior departmental officials and NIC Chhattisgarh officials.
The meeting reviewed the HEONLINE portal, the department's official website and the HEONLINE CG mobile application, with focus on service delivery, user experience, security, transparency and accessibility. The Secretary directed officials to keep the website updated and citizen-centric and to ensure that digital services are simple, reliable and accessible to students, teachers and educational institutions.
The recently launched HEONLINE CG mobile application, available on the Google Play Store, was also reviewed. Its features, functionality and future enhancements were discussed, with emphasis on integrating digital services and incorporating user feedback.
The Secretary appreciated the efforts of the department and NIC team and directed them to further strengthen data security, system reliability and seamless delivery of digital services.
The NIC Chhattisgarh technical team played a key role in the development, testing and successful implementation of the HEONLINE CG mobile application. Technical guidance was provided under the leadership of Shri Tej Narayan Singh, Scientist-G (DDG) and State Informatics Officer. Shri Satyesh Kumar Sharma, Scientist-E; Shri Poonam Chandra Verma, Scientist-D; Smt. Jyoti Sharma, Scientist-C; and the NIC technical team contributed to its development, implementation and release, helping make the department's digital services more modern, secure and user-friendly.
