Divisional-Level Training on PM RAHAT Scheme and eDAR System Held at Durg Collectorate

A divisional-level training programme on the effective implementation of the PM RAHAT Scheme and the eDAR (Electronic Detailed Accident Report) System was organized on 4 July 2026 at the Durg Collectorate. The programme was chaired by District Collector Shri Abhijeet Singh and Deputy Inspector General of Police (Traffic) Shri M. R. Ahire.

The PM RAHAT Scheme provides cashless medical treatment to road accident victims while strengthening coordination between emergency response agencies and hospitals. It is a landmark initiative aimed at enhancing India's road safety framework and saving lives through timely medical intervention.

The primary objective of the scheme is to maximize survival by ensuring prompt and quality medical treatment during the Golden Hour following a road accident. It seeks to facilitate immediate medical assistance as soon as an accident is reported.

During the training programme, officials from the Health Department and Investigation Officers posted at various police stations were provided comprehensive training on the implementation of the PM RAHAT Scheme, including the workflow and operational modules of the eDAR, TMS (Transaction Management System), and PFMS (Public Financial Management System) portals.

The technical session was conducted by Shri Amit Devangan, Technical Director and State In-charge of the eDAR Project, along with Smt. Shweta Chaubey, Deputy Technical Director, and Shri Gopal Kumar Singh. The programme was also attended by District Informatics Officers (DIOs), Senior Resource Managers (SRMs), District Resource Managers (DRMs), and eDAR Nodal Officers from across the division.
