The three-day mega exhibition ‘Vision Karnataka 2025’, held from 11th to 13th July at the KLE Centenary Convention Centre in Belagavi, brought together key stakeholders to highlight government schemes and development initiatives shaping the future of Karnataka. Inaugurated by Hon’ble Member of Parliament and Former Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri Jagadish Shettar, the event was a showcase of progress, partnerships, and the promise of a digitally empowered state.

At the forefront of this transformation was NIC Karnataka, which presented a wide spectrum of citizen-centric digital services at its exhibition stall. From students and entrepreneurs to senior officials and technocrats, visitors engaged with NIC’s technology solutions that are enabling seamless governance and public service delivery across the state.

Shri Jagadish Shettar, during his visit to the NIC stall, appreciated NIC’s steadfast role in implementing ICT solutions that empower citizens, enhance administrative efficiency, and strengthen the last-mile delivery of government services.

A key highlight of the event was a technical session featuring Mr. Giriachar V, Senior Director (IT) and District Informatics Officer, Bagalkot. His presentation offered deep insights into NIC’s key ICT initiatives in Karnataka, ranging from digital health and agriculture systems to district-level service delivery platforms and cloud-based infrastructure support.

The session emphasized how NIC has been instrumental in building secure, scalable, and citizen-focused systems that align with the goals of Digital India and Vision Karnataka 2025.
Major Solutions Showcased by NIC

NIC Karnataka showcased several flagship initiatives and platforms that have become integral to daily governance and citizen interaction:

1. eOffice – Enabling paperless and efficient workflows within government departments.

2. eHospital – Providing online access to hospital services, including appointments and health records.

3. FRUITS (Farmer Registration and Unified Beneficiary Information System) – A robust platform that ensures efficient registration of farmers and delivery of agricultural benefits under various government schemes.

4. ServicePlus and Mobile Apps – Simplifying public access to schemes, certificates, and alerts.

5. Grievance Redressal Systems – Enhancing accountability and transparency in citizen-government communication.

Each of these solutions exemplified NIC’s vision of technology as a service to the people, with a focus on inclusivity, accessibility, and innovation.

NIC’s participation at Vision Karnataka 2025 reinforced its vital role in Karnataka’s developmental roadmap. As departments and districts move toward digitization, NIC remains the technology backbone, helping the state deliver services that are real-time, responsive, and reliable.

Whether it is modernizing land records, empowering farmers with data-driven tools, or supporting digital healthcare, NIC Karnataka is at the helm—making sure that no citizen is left behind in the digital age.

The Vision Karnataka 2025 exhibition was more than a display—it was a declaration of intent. As Karnataka sets its sights on inclusive and tech-driven growth, NIC Karnataka’s digital innovations stand tall as pillars of that vision. From Belagavi to every corner of the state, NIC’s efforts are enabling governance that is smart, swift, and citizen-first.
