Road Safety Award Ceremony Organised by Himachal Pradesh Police

The Himachal Pradesh Police Department organised “Road Safety Awards Ceremony” on 25th April, 2024 at Police Headquarters, in Shimla. The objective of the event was to honour the citizens and officials who have worked effectively in promoting road safety, including officials from various departments like the Police, Transport, Public Works Department, National Informatics Centre and National Highway Authority of India.

Hon’ble Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Shri Shiv Pratap Shukla graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and honoured the citizens and officials of various departments who have excelled in the field of road safety.

The Integrated Road Accident Database (iRAD) mobile and web application developed by NIC was also appreciated at the event. The Police Department also appreciated the work done by the NIC Himachal Pradesh team in providing training and technical support for the successful implementation of the iRAD project. Hon’ble Governor awarded Shri Ankush Thakur (State Rollout Manager) from NIC Himachal Pradesh and 16 officers of the Police Department from various districts for the good work done in the iRAD Project.
