Sh. Ravi Shankar Prasad, Hon’ble Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology, Law and Justice, GoI Inaugurated the Common Service Centre-Village Level Entrepreneur (CSC VLE) Conference at Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh on 2nd October 2017. More than a thousand Village Level Entrepreneurs of Himachal Pradesh from all 12 Districts participated in the VLE conference at Dharamshala.

The Hon’ble Minister inaugurated various services relating to IGNOU, payment gateway integration with Jamabandis, Homeopathy consultancy,  etc.

Speaking on the occasion, the Hon’ble Minister said that he has specifically come to Himachal Pradesh for this conference as most of the VLEs were unable to visit N.Delhi earlier in March 2017. He appreciated the work done by VLEs in running the Common Citizens Centres and providing various kinds of services to citizens in the rural areas of Himachal Pradesh. He hoped that they shall continue to expand the scope of Digital India Program by providing quality services at the doorstep of the citizens.

The NIC Himachal Pradesh team was present at Dharamshala throughout the visit of the Hon’ble Minister and Sh. Bhupender Pathak, DIO coordinated the visit with the District Administration for logistic support. The Hon’ble Minister interacted with NIC HP Team and appreciated the work being done by NIC in the case of Land Records computerization. He asked NIC to get the Video Conferencing facility installed in Legal Services Authority offices so that citizens start getting legal assistance remotely through VC proposed to be used from the CSCs with the help of VLEs.
