A workshop-cum-training program on Aadhaar seeding in Land Records was held for the officials of the Revenue Department in District Una, by NIC District Unit on 17th March, 2017.

Sh. Vikas Labroo, Deputy Commissioner, Una chaired the training session and directed the officials to collect Aadhaar number of land owners in their respective villages within one month by 15th April, 2017 and start seeding in land records through laptops/net-connectivity available with them or by visiting their tehsil headquarters. An appeal to public has also been given in all newspapers for linking of their Aadhaar with land records. Two Patwaris each (designated as master trainers to further train Patwaris of their respective tehsils) and one computer operator from all the 10 Tehsils/Sub-tehsils of district were present.

Sh. Sanjeev Kumar, DIO NIC Una demonstrated the entire process of Aadhaar seeding in land records. Two modes of Aadhaar seeding were demonstrated. In the first mode, the land-owners can themselves enter their Aadhaar in the properties owned by them. This interface is available on the Revenue Department website at http://himachal.nic.in/revenue. The authentication, in this case, is done by sending an OTP on the mobile phone. The verification of this number is done by the concerned Patwari. In the second mode, the Patwaris do the Aadhaar seeding directly through an authenticated user interface.

The software, eHimBhoomi, with facility to enter Aadhaar number, has  been developed by NIC Himachal Pradesh.
