HP State Red Cross Society Website Launched by Honourable Governor, Himachal Pradesh
His Excellency, Acharya Devvrat, Honourable Governor of Himachal Pradesh, launched the website of the HP State Red Cross Society on 31-January-2017 at Shimla. Sh. P.S. Rana, Secretary of the State Red Cross Society and Sh. Ajay Singh Chahal, State Informatics Officer, NIC HP were present during the launch ceremony with other officers. Highlighting the importance of the Red Cross, the Honorable Governor laid stress on its strengthening and increasing the scope of services. He hoped that the website will create awareness among the general public about the activities being carried out by the Society and encourage them to be part of the Red Cross activities. As it has a section for making donations, it will encourage citizens to contribute for the welfare activities being carried out by the HP State Red Cross Society.
Honourable Governor congratulated the HP State Red Cross on the website launch and said that having a website is a must for transparency, speed and accessible delivery of services to the needy and other people. He said that for a Society like Red Cross, this website is all the more essential as it deals directly with the suffering humanity, particularly poor and needy people.
The website is accessible at http://stateredcross.hp.nic.in and provides information related to the activities, events, objectives, how to donate, Governing body, structure, aims and objectives. A very comprehensive and detailed photo-gallery section is available, listing the photographs on the basis of events.
The website has been designed and developed by the NIC Himachal Pradesh. The honourable Governor appreciated the officers of State Red Cross and NIC team for designing this dynamic, interactive and user friendly website. Sh. P. S. Rana, Secretary, HP Red Cross Society, Sh. Sanjay Sharma, PSA NIC HP, Ms Amritanjali Sharma, Sh. Virender have been actively involved in the design and development of this website. Sh. Raj Kumar provided the technical support for the launch ceremony.
