Capacity Building Workshop on eSuvidha Portal organized for Govt. of Rajasthan at Secretariat, Jaipur on 22nd and 23rd December, 2016

With an objective to create an institutional mechanism for fast-tracking stalled investment projects, both in the public and private sectors, Govt. of Rajasthan was launched Rajasthan e-Suvidha portal, on 24th November, 2014 an online mechanism to fast track approvals and resolve issues pertaining to infrastructure and other large projects. The mechanism has been developed by the NIC, Cabinet Secretariat Informatics Division.

 

The mechanism aims at resolving a variety of issues with a view to fast-track the approvals for setting up and commissioning infrastructure and other mega projects, particularly stalled projects with targeted investment between Rs. 50-crore and Rs. 1000-crore.

In this context, two days capacity building workshop has been organized for the officials of Govt. of Rajasthan on 22nd and 23rd December, 2016. The first day workshop session was started with introduction & key note address by Shri Vijay Tiwari, Scientist ‘B’, Cabinet Secretariat Informatics Division. Thereafter, he discussed the agenda for the workshop followed by the complete audio/video presentation and explained the workflow of eSuvidha in detail. The live demonstration about the working of the portal including submission of new projects/issues, updating of comments by the recipient Department(s) and generation of various MIS Reports etc. was also provided. During the demonstration all the real-time examples were used to better connect with the participants. Along with that, he also explained all the new features added recently in the Central PMG portal, followed by hands-on and question answer session, in which doubts of every individual participants were cleared by Mr. Vijay Tiwari.

On the second day of the workshop, Admin module of eSuvidha was discussed, in which demonstration was provided about how to create nodal officer, how to assign or change the sponsoring department of a particular project, how to accept or reject any project entered by public or private entrepreneur and other various tasks of Admin user was explained.
