Government of Odisha launched website on Odisha Knowledge Hub Lecture Series (OKH)
Odisha Knowledge Hub Lecture Series (OKH) website was launched by Smt. Usha Devi, Hon’ble Minister, W & CD, P&C , SS & EPD, Odisha in the Conference Hall of Planning & Convergence Department in presence of Sri R. Balakrishnan, IAS, Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary, Sri G.B. Reddy, Officer on Special Duty and Member Secretary, PHDMA, P & C Department, Sri P.K. Biwal, IAS, Additional Secretary , P & C Department and other officers of P&C Department. Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary had explained the benefits of website. Ms. Nirupama Mohapatra, Technical Director, NIC, Bhubaneswar had demonstrated different features of the website to the audience.
Government of Odisha has created Odisha Knowledge Hub (OKH) Lecture Series initiative with a view to promote new ideas in different fields of priorities and governance in the State. It is envisaged to invite eminent persons having expertise in different fields to deliver lectures and participate in discussion with senior functionaries of the State Government. The objective is to promote listening spaces within the system in order to update the collective knowledge and experience.
National Informatics Centre, Bhubaneswar has developed this website and hosted at NIC Server, Bhubaneswar. The website is of dynamic nature and contains information related to the events of OKH comprising of Profile of the Guest, Video Lectures, Photo Gallery, Feedback and Search facilities. The website is enabled with mobile-first technology in order to access the site by using mobile device. The site is also collaborating with social media such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
This site has been developed under the guidance of Sri R. Balakrishnan, IAS, Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary and technical team members from NIC are Ms. Nirupama Mohapatra, Technical Director and Ms. Binodini Sahu, Scientist-D. The site is developed using technology stack such as ASP.Net and SQL Server 2008 R2 and HTML 5.
