The newly designed dynamic  Portal of Home Department, Government of Odisha was launched by Shri Naveen Patnaik, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Odisha in his  Conference Hall on 6th August’ 2016.

The officers present in the inaugural function include Sri Aditya Prasad Padhi, IAS, Chief Secretary, Sri U. N. Behera, IAS, Addl. Chief Secretary to C.M., Sri Asit Kumar Tripathy, IAS, Principal Secretary, Home, Sri Lalit Kumar Das, IPS, SPl. Secretary, Home, Dr R. N. Behera, Sr. Technical Director, NIC.

Presentation about the portal was given by Home Secretary, Sri Tripathy and the demonstration was given by Dr. R. N. Behera.

The portal is developed by National Informatics Centre following  GIGW ( Government of India Guidelines for Websites) and accessibility guidelines so that persons with disabilities can see and hear the site.  The portal is cyber security audited and hosted in National Cloud ‘MeghRaj’. The portal facilitates to access the Home Department information and all Directorates of the Department along with citizen centric services i.e. employee corner, empowering women, children, Secretariat Pass, Track the Missing Child, Odisha Bhavan reservation System, CCTNS etc.  The social media  Face Book and tweeter is available through the portal and it has women and Employee corner. The portal is bilingual, English and Odia.

The portal is developed by NIC, Odisha State Centre, Bhubaneswar by Dr. R. N. Behera, Sr. Technical Director as Team Leader, Sri B. P. Satapathy, PSA , Sri R. B. Shaw, PSA, Ms. S.Smita, SO/Eng-‘SB’ as team members under the guidance of Sri S. K. Panda, DDG & SIO, Odisha. The technology used: PHP, PgSql, Apache, Drupal as CMS.
