National Fire Service Week is being organized at Fire Training Centre, Baramunda, Bhubaneswar from 14th April to 20th April 2016.

On the eve of the week, the website of DG Fire Service, Home Guards & Civil Defence, Odisha was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik on dt-19.04.2016 at 10.15 AM at the parade ground of the Training Institute, Baramunda, Bhubaneswar. Hon’ble MP, Bhubaneswar Sri Prasanna Kumar Patsani was also present on this occasion.

Dignitaries present on the occasion include Dr Binoy Kumar Behera, IPS, DG Fire Service, Home Guards & Civil Defence, Dr. Santosh Bala, IPS, IG Fire Service, senior IPS officers, retired DGs and other officials of  Fire Service, Home Guards & Civil Defence.

The website was demonstrated to the Hon’ble Chief Minister by Dr. R. N. Behera, Sr. Technical Director, NIC, Bhubaneswar. The DG Fire Service Dr Binoy Kumar Behera delivered the introductory speech and Mrs (DR) Santosh Bala, IG Fire Service, conveyed the vote of thanks.

A laudable step has been initiated by N.I.C to develop the website and make it accessible to the general public. The website  (http://odishafshgscd.gov.in ) contains main features like– About us, three wings like Fire Service, Home Guards, Civil Defense, circulars & orders, annual report, RTI, photo gallery, success stories etc.

The website is developed by NIC, Odisha State Centre, Bhubaneswar by Dr. R. N. Behera, Sr. Technical Director as Team Leader, Mrs. Namita Senapati, PSA and Sri K. C. Pattnaik, PSA as team members under the guidance of Sri S. K. Panda, DDG & SIO, Odisha.
