The website (http://ogpress.nic.in/) has been inaugurated by Shri Gopabandhu Satpathy, I.A.S., Director of DPS&P (Directorate of Printing, Stationery & Publication), Odisha on 1st April 2016 in the presence of Shri H.K Mishra, Director Technical, Er. N. Dhamel , Joint Director, DPS&P, and Shri A. K. Mohanty, TD & project Coordinator, NIC, along with members of Newspaper Agencies, Media and other Team members of NIC and other officials of DPS&P Department.

Inaugurating the website, the Director appreciated efforts made by NIC. He mentioned that Odisha Government Press has achieved a mile stone in the State with this dynamic website. He wished that this website would enhance the transparency of the government through details of tenders, quotations, recruitment notice, Odisha Gazettes etc. published on the portal.

Er. N. Dhamel , Joint Director, DPS&P, in his key note highly appreciated the effort made by NIC Officials to bring the ogpress website into success. He suggested to implement online indenting module immediately.

Various Dynamic modules:

Indent:

The present manual system of placing indents by different Indenting Officers is not properly scrutinized. Sometimes very inflated indents are placed by the indenting officers. As per rules, each indent of forms is to be countersigned by the countersigning Officer and received in the Directorate by a scheduled date. It has not been possible to correctly determine the 42 schedules of indents for distribution.

Scrutiny:

The actual quantities of forms required and to be supplied to Indenting Officers after necessary scrutiny is a cumbersome job. The present software will help the officers to scrutiny the demand online with less effort.

Printing

The actual quantity of papers for printing can be decided from the online indents forms.

Odisha Gazettes and Ex-Ordinary Gazettes can directly be uploaded to the website for Public access. The departments / public can easily access the notifications or Gazettes.

Tender / Advertisement / Quotation/ Recruitment Notice released from various departments can also be uploaded to the website.

The NIC team Consisting of Sri A.K Mohanty ,Technical Director, Sri Janmejoya Mohanty ,PSA have taken all initiatives to implement the “OGPRESS” software for the Directorate of Printing, Stationery & Publication(DPS&P),Govt . of Odisha, under the guidance of Sri S.K Panda, DDG & SIO,NIC.
