IVFRT Workshop Organised by NIC Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh
A half day workshop for implementation of the IVFRT Project in district Hamirpur was conducted on 28-April-2015 for the Hoteliers/Dharamshalas(Sarai)/RHs/Institutes/Temple Officer Shri BBNT Deotsidh and the staff posted at the SP Office. It was second workshop for IVFRT project.
The staff of SP Office dealing with the project and about 25 representatives from Hotels and other Institutions attended this training. The welcome address was through desktop VC by Sh. Pankaj Gupta, DIO-cum-Project Coordinator from NIC Himachal. He welcomed the participants with a brief introduction of the project. It was followed by the presentations on C-Form and S-Form and hands-on session for the user enrollment. All the user queries were addressed and they were requested to enroll on the system at the earliest.
Sh. Pankaj Gupta, State Coordinator IVFRT interacted with participants through Video Conference. Sh. Vinod Kumar, District Informatics Officer, Hamirpur coordinated the Workshop sessions and assured the participants about all possible technical help from NIC in smooth implementation of the Project.
The IVFRT project is mainly focused on providing online services to the Foreigners visiting India and have a centralized database, which will provide better service to the foreigners and has provided tracking mechanism to the security agencies and immigration office.
The modules under implementation in Himachal Pradesh are cFRO, cForm and sForm in all the Foreigner Registration Offices (FRO) in the Districts. The training for the hoteliers on cForm are being conducted in the Districts in collaboration with the District Police officials. The cFRO module has been functional in all the 12 Districts and regular registration of foreigners is being done in 10 Districts (except Kinnaur, Lahaul spiti). The cForm entry has been started in all the Districts and major contributors in this module are Shimla, Kangra, Kullu, Solan and Chamba. The sForm entry has also been started mainly in these districts.
