Capacity Building Programme on eOffice Implementation for NIC Officials

A five day Capability Building Programme (CBP) on eOffice implementation and sustainability strategies was conducted at NIC, Shastri Park, New Delhi from 21st to 25th July, 2014. The programme was held for the NIC Nodal Coordinators from various states and central departments, and Ministries with an objective to equip them with the required knowhow of eOffice suite and its implementation.

The main focus of the programme was to -

  • Apprise the coordinators about the various aspects of the eOffice product and deliberate on the new and upcoming features of eOffice
  • Bring about an awareness on handling user requests and modalities of new implementation
  • Plan and strategize for transition from physical to electronic system
  • Enable the participants to enhance the support mechanism at departments
  • Facilitate to strategize Implementation and Sustainability strategies
  • Understand eOffice user management and administration


Thirteen participants from States & Ministries attended the workshop which was divided into 20 Sessions spread over 5 days. The workshop included -

  1. Presentations/ Demonstration of the eOffice Suite
  2. Revision of Modules
  3. Support Mechanism
  4. Deployment Architecture
  5. eOffice Case Studies
  6. BPR/GPR and Implementation Plan
  7. Modalities and Pre-requisites of eOffice Implementation
  8. eOffice Vocabulary Game
  9. Photograph and thanks-giving session.


All the participants appreciated the programme. They had detailed discussions on various aspects of the project and gave suggestions and inputs on how to improve the product based on their experience and best practices prevalent in the technology space.
