Launching of IVFRT-MMP at Katni, Madhya Pradesh on 03/03/2014

Katni district has been selected as one of the six hub districts in Madhya Pradesh for implementation of the Immigration, Visa and Foreigners Registration & Tracking (IVFRT) Mission Mode Project of Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India. Accordingly the C-Form, S-Form and C-FRO Modules of the project have been launched in Katni on 03/03/2014 and 04/03/2014.

The C-Form Module (for hotels) and S-Form (for institutes) has been launched in a workshop held under the supervision of Superintendent of Police-Cum-District Foreigners Registration Officer (FRO), Katni Sh. Rajesh Kumar Hingankar, IPS, at the Conference Hall of SP Office Katni on 03/03/2014. Also present were Addl. Superintendent of Police, Katni Sh. Amit Sanghi, District Informatics Officer (DIO) NIC- Katni Sh. Praphulla Srivastava, the NIC Madhya Pradesh State Coordinator of IVFRT Project Sh. Koshy John and other officials of FRO, Katni.

This workshop was attended by representatives of various hotels, institutes and guest houses of Katni, who were imparted practical training of C-Form Module by the NIC State Coordinator of IVFRT Project Sh. Koshy John assisted by the DIO NIC Katni Sh. Praphulla Srivastava. In his keynote address, the District S.P. Sh. Rajesh Kumar Hingankar stressed on the importance of the IVFRT system with respect to the security of the country as well as that of the foreigners. He directed the participating hoteliers to register and use the new online C-Form submission system at the earliest. The system was launched with the online approval of the authorization request of an institute by the Superintendent of Police Sh. Rajesh Kumar Hingankar. The queries raised by the participants were addressed to during the feedback session. The response of the participants to the project was very enthusiastic.

On 04/03/2014, a workshop-cum-training programme was conducted at the Conference Hall of S.P. Office Katni wherein FRO officials from the districts of Damoh, Jabalpur, Shahdol, Umaria, Dindori, Anuppur, Mandla, Balaghat and the hosts Katni which are included in the Katni Hub participated. These officials were given practical training of the C-FRO Module which provides online services to the Foreigner like Registration, Visa Extension, Return Visa, Exit Permit, Visa Conversion, etc. The participants were also sensitized about the C-Form Module. The Superintendent of Police Sh. Rajesh Kumar Hingankar, in his keynote address, directed the participants to implement the system at their respective districts at the earliest so that the implementation deadline of September, 2014 can be met. He pledged his support and assistance in implementation of the system in the adjoining districts coming under the Katni Hub.

With this launch, Katni has become the fifth hub in Madhya Pradesh to get connected to the IVFRT system.
