Haryana:Integrated Workflow System of Paperless Admissions for Technical Education received Award of Sustenance of the CSI-Nihilent e-Gov Awards

The award was presented by Sh. J. Satyanarayana, Secretary Department of Electronics & IT Govt of India and Prof. SV Raghavan National President CSI & Scientific Secretary to Principal Scientific Advisor to Govt of India on Saturday, 14th Dec 2013 at 6.00 PM  at Vishakhapatnam at the concluding session of e-Governance Knowledge Sharing Summit [KSS-2013], an integral part of 48th Annual Convention of Computer Society of India (CSI-2013). Sh. GVL Satya Kumar Dy. Chairman, Vishakhapatnam Port Chairman & Sh. Pyush Gupta Chairman CSI-Special Interest Group on e-Governance were also present at award distribution function.

The Paperless Admissions award was received by Sh. Dhanpat Singh, IAS Principal Secretary Technical Education Haryana, Sh. Ghan Shyam Bansal Dy. DG & SIO NIC Haryana, Sh. K K Kataria Director Technical Education Haryana, Sh. Susheel Kumar Technical Director NIC-HrSC & Sh. K K Dhiman, Jt. Director DTE.Other team members: Sh. DP Saini, Scientist C, NIC-Haryana

Overview of e-Governance Project   The e-Governance Project “PAPERLESS ADMISSIONS” is basically integration of Online Entrance Test (OLET) and Online off-campus counseling projects of the Department of Technical Education / Haryana State Technical Education Society, the successful/effective implementation of which is being  technologically supported by NIC-Haryana since its conceptualization in Haryana.    This year, the Online Entrance Examination was conducted by providing technical support  for the  courses MCA, & BE/BTech (LEET) 7837 candidates registered online and 5886 candidates appeared in the examination organized at 9 designated centers across the state during 4 shifts a day. The software facilitates:   a) Online Submission of application/registration by candidates. b) Submission of choices w.r.t.  Examination centre, date and shift of exam. c) Downloading of admit cards after allotment of test centres/dates/shifts. d) Appearing in OLET  at designated centre e) Display of Individual’s attempted score just after end of exam. f) Generation of unique ranks & publishing for download by the Students g) Uploading of OLET data of candidates on counseling server.

Project is Jointly implemented by NIC-Haryana & Technical Education Department & Haryana State Technical Education Society.
