INAUGURATION OF IVFRT CENTRE AT NEW INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT CHENNAI

On 22/11/2013, Foreigners Regional Registration Officer, Dr. N.Kannan, I.P.S inaugurated the new computer  centre at International Airport in the presence of Senior Immigration Officials and NIC IVFRT team from Delhi and Chennai.

Dr.N.Kannan, IPS, FRRO, Chennai explained various services rendered by NIC on ICP  and also informed to BOI officials that from 01/12/2013 onwards registration certificate issued through C-FRO will only be accepted at Chennai, Trichy, Coimbatore and Madurai International Airports. The Registration certificate issued at the district FRO office will also be verified at respective airport using C-FRO applications.  He lauded NIC on bringing the new server operational and streamlining the Network operation for ICP.   

Mr. Ravi Prakash Kohli of NIC told that since the traffic is very high in Chennai International Airport, extra care has been taken to switch over with Zero down time for all the ICS modules.   Mr. Rajiv Agarwal of NIC exclaimed that this event is another milestone for NIC in ICP operations and explained to BoI staff about the new modules introduced at Chennai Airport.

Mr.Alok Roy Choudhury of NIC expressed his happiness about the excellent Network establishment at International Airport Chennai.
