Demonstration of eProcurement to senior officers of CRPF

Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Pinjore (Haryana) organized a conference for senior officers of the J&K Zone at Pinjore. On request received from them a session on eProcurement was conducted by Mr Girish Pant, Senior Systems Analyst and Mr Kapil Narang, System Manager, eProcurement Cell, UT Chandigarh  on  12/09/2013.  Sh. D K Pathak, IPS, Special DG J&K Zone welcomed the participants and highlighted the need to have a centralized, transparent and robust tendering system, for which eProcurement is the only option available. He emphasized on the benefits of the eProcurement application and directed all the Commanding officers of units of J&K Zone to start using eProcurement application immediately.

The session began with a presentation on the eProcurement solution of NIC in which all the salient features were explained. There were 55 officers of the rank of IG, DIG, Commandant and Deputy Commandant. Keen interest was shown by all the participants and the presentation was well applauded. Thereafter, a live demonstration of the application was given which evoked lot of enthusiasm in the participants. Emphasis was laid on ePublishing, eProcurement and Digital Signatures.   In the question answer session participants raised many questions and got their doubts clarified. For those units of J&K Zone of CRPF  which are already using ePrucurement application, the session was very helpful as they got a chance to get all their doubts cleared.
