The  e-Governance Project  “Web-based Integrated Workflow System of Paperless Admissions for Department of Technical Education, Government of Haryana”  has been awarded Skoch “Order-of-Merit” Digital Inclusion Award 2013, qualifying among India’s Best - 2013 under  Smart Governance Category, on  2nd  Sept 2013 at Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi.
 

The e-Governance Project “PAPERLESS ADMISSIONS” is basically integration of Online Entrance Test (OLET) and Online off-campus counseling projects of the Department of Technical Education / Haryana State Technical Education Society, the successful/effective implementation of which is being  technologically supported by NIC-Haryana since its conceptualization in Haryana.

This year, the Online Entrance Examination was conducted by providing technical support  for the  courses MCA, & BE/BTech (LEET) 7837 candidates registered online and 5886 candidates appeared in the examination organized at 9 designated centers across the state during 4 shifts a day. The software facilitates:

a) Online Submission of application/registration by candidates.
b) Submission of choices w.r.t.  Examination centre, date and shift of exam.
c) Downloading of admit cards after allotment of test centres/dates/shifts.
d) Appearing in OLET  at designated centre
e) Display of Individual’s attempted score just after end of exam.
f) Generation of unique ranks & publishing for download by the Students
g) Uploading of OLET data of candidates on counseling server.

The Online off-campus counseling project, an  Internet based counseling system is being conducted  by providing technical support for 9 courses (BE/B.Tech, MBA, MCA, BE/BTech (LEET), Pharmacy (LEET), Hotel Management, Diploma (Engineering, LEET, Pharmacy & Mngt). More than one lakh  candidates registered and submitted more than 55 lacs choices for getting admissions in 602 institutions for more than 1.70 lacs seats in 10 courses, 22 rounds of seat allotments were processed and published. Other Major functional Sub-Systems are:

a) Student Sub-system for online registration, submission of choices and downloading of seat allotment results http://tehadmissions.gov.in & http://onlinetesthry.nic.in
b) Administration and monitoring sub-system for DTE/HSTES Haryana for updating and uploading of master information w.r.t. institutions, seats, courses and candidates under secure authentication, and printing of various analytical reports
c) Institutions sub-system for admitting selected candidates (centralized counseling) and updation of admission details online after verification of required documents
d) Sub-system for Institution level admissions against management seats and online admitting of candidates.
