Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI) , a mini-ratna PSU under the Ministry of Defence, Govt of India joined the GePNIC family of PSUs on 23rd December 2011 with the publishing of two pilot tenders.

The site  was formally launched by Shri M. Narayana Rao, Chairman – Cum - Managing Director in presence of SIO & DDG, NIC AP State Centre Shri B. V. Sarma and all Directors and senior officers in the conference hall of MIDHANI, Hyderabad.

Shri K. Aravind Kumar, Asst Manager (Purchase), MIDHANI briefed the gathering on the features available in the portal. This was followed by a brief presentation by NIC Odisha team on how GePNIC would help MIDHANI to bring about transparency and efficiency in the tendering processes.
 

SIO & DDG NIC AP Shri B. V. Sarma highlighted the core activities of NIC and assured all possible help in rolling out any other product of NIC that suited MIDHANI’s requirement.

CMD, MIDHANI congratulated team of NIC as well as MIDHANI for their hard work to bring e-tendering in MIDHANI to a shape in such a short time span.

NIC Odisha eProcurement team comprising Shri Tapan Prakash Ray, TD & Shri Nihar Ranjan Biswal , PSA and NIC AP Technical Director Dr Y. S. Murty provided all technical support including training to bidders for the successful hosting of tenders. The NIC team was felicitated by the CMD with presentation of mementoes.

It may be recalled that the Shri S. K. Panda, STD & SIO Odisha & Shri A. K. Hota, Technical Director had conducted a sensitization programme cum workshop at MIDHANI during 1st week of December to set the ball rolling for speedy implementation of GePNIC.
