Workshop-cum-Launch of C-Form Module under IVFRT-MMP organized at Bhopal

As per the directives of the Govt. of India, Ministry of Home Affairs (Foreigners Division) New Delhi, to all the State Governments/ UT Administrations for implementation of the C-Form Module (Hotel Arrival Report of Foreigner) under the Immigration, Visa, Foreigners Registration & Tracking (IVFRT) Mission Mode Project, a one day Workshop was organized by the Foreigners Registration Office (FRO), Bhopal, under the supervision of Sh. D. Sreenivasa Varma, IPS, DIG of Police-Cum-District Foreigners Registration Officer, Bhopal in Hotel Noor-us-Sabah, Koh-e-Fiza, Bhopal on 31/07/2013. The workshop was attended by around 30 keepers/ representatives of various hotels of the city, who were imparted practical training of C-Form Module by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) Madhya Pradesh State Coordinator of IVFRT Project Sh. Koshy John. Also present were the officials of Foreigner Registration Office, Bhopal.

In his keynote address, Sh. D.Sreenivasa Varma, IPS, stressed on the obligation of the hoteliers to submit the details of residing foreigners in Form C within 24 hours of the arrival of the foreigner in their premises to the local Foreigner Registration Office. He added that the system was of vital importance as far as security of the country is concerned. He exhorted the participating hoteliers to register and use the new online C-Form submission system at the earliest. Sh. Koshy John gave a brief introduction to the IVFRT project and the relevance of C-Form module in the same followed by a detailed presentation and practical demonstration of the module to all the participants.

The system was launched with the online approval of the authorization request of the host hotel by Sh. D.Sreenivasa Varma, IPS. With this launch, Bhopal has become the first district in Madhya Pradesh to launch the online C-Form system. The hotels which are registered in the system can now directly file their C-Forms online. A feedback session was organized wherein various queries raised by the participants were addressed to by the panel. All the hotel keepers of Bhopal have been requested to register User IDs of their respective hotels with FRO, Bhopal and extend their cooperation for smooth implementation of C-Form Module under the IVFRT Project in all the hotels of Bhopal. The response of the hoteliers to the new initiative has been very enthusiastic. The workshop ended with hearty vote of thanks to all.
