Two days IVFRT Workshop-cum-Training Programme was organized on 8th and 9th July 2013 at Mangalore for the five FROs of Mangalore region. FRO officers from Mangalore Urban, Mangalore Rural, Udupi, Chikmagalur and Uttara Kannada attended the training. The training was conducted by a team consisting of Sh. S.P.Chandrasekar Senior Technical Director, NIC, Sh. K.Saravanan, Senior System Analyst, NIC and Sh. M.G. Nagalingaiah, AFRRO, Bangalore.

The program was inaugurated by Sh. Abhishek Goyal, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Dakshina District, Mangalore on 8th Morning. Police officials from the above five FROs along with officials from COP Mangalore and ICP, Mangalore attended the first day training programme. Shri Abhishek Goyal had all appreciations on the conduct of region-wise training as it facilitated more interactions between IVFRT team and FRO officials. Presentations on overall IVFRT implementation, C-FRO, C-FORM, S-FORM Modules and PRC were given along with sufficient hands-on training to the participants. General procedures and regulations to be followed for the smooth functioning of above applications were also briefed.

On the second day hands-on sessions covering all the above modules were given to the participants. As the C-FRO module has not yet been commenced at Chikmagalur, a live demonstration on C-FRO module was shown to them by registering a foreigner from FRO Mangalore jurisdiction. In the final session, representatives from Hotels and Institutes attended. They were also briefed about the C-Form and S-Form registration. The training programme concluded with an interactive session wherein, all the participants were offered to get their doubts cleared on all covered topics. The DIO Mangalore and NIC representative from Udupi also attended the training program. The workshop-cum-Training programme ended with a hearty vote of thanks to all.
