The Standardised District Portal of Balangir District (http://balangir.nic.in ) was inaugurated by Shri Surjya Narayan Patra, Hon’ble Minister for Revenue and  Disaster Management on 18 January 2013 in a function organised in the Conference Hall, Collectorate Building in presence of Hon’ble MP Sri Kalikesh Narayan Singhdeo. Collector & District Magistrate Sri  Debraj Mishra   presided  over the meeting. Dr. R N Behera, Technical Director, NIC, Bhubaneswar was the Guest of Honour.

Speaking on the occasion Sri Patra expressed that the portal can facilitate various citizen centric services like land records, e-Abhijoga, RTI, donation to Shree Jagannath, land record etc.  Hon’ble MP Sri Kalikesh Narayan Singhdeo was happy on seeing the standardized version of District Portal of his home  District. He expressed that the portal will serve the need of people of Balangir District.

Dr R N Behera, Technical Director, NIC, Bhubaneswar expressed that standardization of district portal initiative was taken, which is based on the content architecture of the National Portal of India (india.gov.in) under NeGP.

The Portal is designed and developed by NIC Odisha State Centre with the guidance  from Dy. Director General Shri S. K. Panda, advise  from Data Centre and Web Services Division , NIC(HQ), headed by Mrs Neeta Verma, DDG, NIC New Delhi with the support from Department of IT, Govt of Odisha. This was facilitated by the NIC District Centre, Balangir.

Senior Officers of District Administration and others were present on the occasion. The programme was coordinated by the DIPRO & Nodal Officer, District Portal Balangir District and Sri CVK Maruti Rao, DIO, Balangir.
