The training cum workshop on GePNIC was conducted on 31st July 2012 for officers of Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Marketing Division, Bhubaneswar in the division office conference hall of IOCL Bhubaneswar.

 

The workshop was formally inaugurated by Shri Projjal Chakrabarty, Executive Director (IS) IOCL Mumbai with the launching of one Pilot tender in presence of General Manager( Marketing ), Odisha Shri P.K.Das.

 

After the inaugural session, general features of GePNIC were demonstrated followed by live demonstration of the software. The flow of GePNIC for IOCL is slightly different from conventional flow of GePNIC which includes nomination of technical and financial evaluators after technical opening of bids, freezing of technical evaluation and provision of technical query commercial query where bidders are required to respond to queries posted by evaluators and upload required documents. The sessions were interactive and all queries raised by the participants were answered.

 

 In the second half presentations were carried out for the bidders community. About 20 bidders were shown how to register in the eProcurement portal of IOCL and how to submit bids using the eProcurement system. Shri B. Srikanth, Sr Manager (IS) and Shri Kaushik Sen, Dy Manager(IS),  IOCL  coordinated from IOCL side while Shri Tapan Prakash Ray, TD & Shri Nihar Ranjan Biswal, PSA conducted the presentations from NIC side. Shri Chakrabarty highly appreciated the efforts put in both by NIC team and IOCL team to make the workshop a success.
