Honarable Finance Minister, Govt. of Tripura Shri Badal Chowdhury launched the Official web-site of the Taxes and Excise Organisation, Govt. of Tripura along with the three e-Services viz. e-Registration of dealers, e-Payment of tax by dealers and e-Returns filing by dealers.

The launch was done at the Pragya Bhavan, Agartala, Tripura on 3rd June 2012 in presence of   Dr. S.K. Panda, Chief Secretary Govt. of Tripura, Shri K.V.Satyanarayana, Additional Chief Secretary, Govt. of Tripura, Shri B. Pandey, Commissioner Taxes & Excise, Govt. of Tripura.

The members of VAT committee, Tripura, Chamber of Commerce, Tripura, a large gathering of over 250 dealers and distributors of Tripura were present on the inaugural programme. Minister Finance, Chief Secretary and other dignitaries in their speech expressed the need for e-services and citizen centric services and called for large scale participation from the dealers to utilize the benefits of e-Services. Later in the interaction session with dealers, the audience actively participated in question-answer session and appreciated the online facilities created for them. The application developed by NIC-Karnataka, implemented after due customization in Tripura under MMP VAT. The website can be viewed at http://tripurataxes.nic.in

Two more services viz. Online c-Forms issuance and online permit issuance shall be introduced shortly. Last but not least a vote of thanks was raised for NIC for contributing towards a new beginning in the Commercial Taxes Sector.
