          A three days “Workshop on e-Granthalaya Software for Automation and Networking of Libraries” was conducted during 1st – 3rd Feb, 2011 at Saraswati Vidya Bhavan’s College of Pharmacy, Dombivli, Mumbai. The SVB College of Pharmacy is run by Saraswati Vidya Bhavan and Education Trust which has setup about 44 other colleges in Mumbai. The workshop was supported by Maharashtra State Centre of NIC, Mumbai. The workshop was Co-Ordinated by Ms Shaheen Ansari, Library Officer, SVB College of Pharmacy and Sh K Suresh, PSA; Sh S A Vijaykumar, SSA, both from NIC, Mumbai.

The workshop was inaugurated by Dr Ravindra B Kabnurkar, Princiapl of SVB College while Shree Ram Kumar Matoria, Technical Director, NIC, New Delhi delivered the Keynote address. Shree Ram Kumar Matoria, Technical Director and Shri Rama Krishna Kumar, Scientific Officer ‘SB’, NIC, New Delhi provided the training and hands-on practice to the participants. Following libraries participated in the workshop:-

During the Program, a DEMO-cum-Training of the software was provided. All participants were given the CD of the software along with the Installation Guide and User Manual. The participants appreciated the efforts being made by the NIC to provide the free software along with the training and support.
