A significant workshop on “Emerging Technologies” was organized today by the National Informatics Centre (NIC), Chhattisgarh at Mahanadi Bhavan, Mantralaya. District Informatics Officers (DIOs) and state-level officials actively participated in the workshop.

The program was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Mr. Vikas Sheel (Chief Secretary, Government of Chhattisgarh), with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. On this occasion, Mr. T. N. Singh (DDG & SIO, Chhattisgarh) delivered the welcome address, while Mr. Dayanand Saha (DDG & State Coordinator, NIC Headquarters) presented the keynote address.

The workshop featured multiple technical sessions on emerging technologies. Prof. (Dr.) Om Prakash Vyas (IIIT, Nava Raipur) elaborated on the present and future of Artificial Intelligence. In addition, experts shared insights on topics such as cybersecurity, IoT, chatbots, and e-Urvarak.

In the afternoon session, an open discussion was conducted by the State Coordinator with department heads and DIOs, focusing on administrative and technical challenges.

The program concluded with a photo session and formal interactions. This workshop is expected to be a significant step toward strengthening digital governance and promoting the effective use of new technologies in the state.
