Honorable CM Vishnudev Sai Virtually Inaugurates 51 Mahatari Sadans Across Chhattisgarh

Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai virtually inaugurated 51 Mahatari Sadans across various districts of Chhattisgarh from Village Kareli (Badi), Magarlod Tehsil, Dhamtari District. Under this initiative, women’s self-help groups will be provided facilities for employment generation and social development.
On this occasion, the Hon'ble Chief Minister also launched the Gram Sampada App and a Citizen Information Board with QR Code based on comprehensive MGNREGA data. Additionally, he released the Lakhpati Didi / Mahatari Sadan booklet and the Maa Abhiyan publication.
Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Panchayat & Rural Development and Home, Shri Vijay Sharma; Hon'ble Revenue and District In-charge Minister Shri Tankaram Verma; Hon'ble Member of Parliament from Mahasamund Smt. Rupkumari Choudhary; and Hon'ble MLA from Kurud Shri Ajay Chandrakar were prominently present.
Following the inauguration, the Hon'ble Chief Minister interacted virtually with women’s groups from Jashpur (Rengle), Bemetara (Linjjewara), Mungeli (Nawagaon), and Durg (Nagpura), conveying his best wishes for the Mahatari Sadan initiative and the Navratri festival. Addressing in Chhattisgarhi, he emphasized that empowering women is the government’s foremost responsibility. The Mahatari Sadan will provide a common platform for activities like tailoring, embroidery, vegetable cultivation, and self-employment training.
The Hon'ble Chief Minister highlighted several flagship state schemes such as the Ramlala Darshan Yojana, Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana, and Mahatari Vandan Yojana. Referring to the new Industrial Policy, he underlined its vast opportunities for youth self-employment. He also reiterated the government’s resolve, in line with the vision of Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, to make Chhattisgarh Naxalism-free by March 2026.
Hon'ble Deputy CM Shri Sharma congratulated women’s groups on the launch, noting that the government is consistently working towards women’s self-reliance. He pointed out that while Mahatari Vandan Yojana is strengthening women economically, Atal Digital Seva Kendras are ensuring convenient financial access at the village level.
Earlier, the Hon'ble Chief Minister visited development exhibitions and stalls set up by various departments and distributed materials and cheques to beneficiaries. Accepting the request of Honorable MLA Shri Chandrakar, he also announced development works worth more than Rs. 83 crore for the district.
The program saw participation from Hon'ble Deputy CM Shri Arun Sao (Mungeli), MPs, MLAs, and local representatives from Durg, Jashpur, Mungeli, Bemetara, and Bastar districts. Over 2 lakh women from self-help groups across the state also joined the event.
As a token of honor, mementos were presented to the Chief Minister and other dignitaries. The event was attended by several senior officials including Smt. Niharika Barik (Secretary, Panchayat Department), Shri Mahadev Kanwre (Commissioner, Raipur Division), Smt. Priyanka Mahobia (Director, Panchayat), Shri Abhinash Mishra (Collector), and Shri Suraj Singh Parihar (Superintendent of Police). A large number of public representatives, officials, employees, and villagers were also present.
The NIC team provided complete ICT support for the event, enabling successful two-way communication.
