Honorable Minister and other officers present on the occassion

Honorable Minister for Forest, Ecology and Environment, Jammu and Kashmir, Jenab Mian Altaf Ahmad launched the Official Website of Department of Environment and Remote Sensing, at Srinagar on the eve of World Environment Day on 5th of June 2011. The website is hosted at jkenvis.nic.in. The website is the first of its kind on the environmental scenario of the Jammu and Kashmir State. The aim is to share the data-information related to various aspects of the environment with all stake holders and to educate and create awareness in all sections of the society to have their valuable suggestions.
Among others, Commissioner Secretary Forest, Principle Chief Conservator of Forest, Director Environment and Remote Sensing, Chairman Pollution Control Board, Shri V.S. Pathania, NIC and other officers from the department were also present on the occasion
