Hon’ble Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh visited Anantnag on 28.10.2009 to inaugurate the Qazigund-Anantnag Rail Link in J&K. He was accompanied by Smt. Sonia Gandhi, Chairperson of the UPA; Sh. Ghulam Nabi Azad, Union Minister for Health; Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Union Minster for New and Renewable Energy; Smt.Mamta Banerjee, Union Minister for Railways; Sh. Omar Abdullah, Chief Minister, J&K and other dignitaries including Senior Civil and Police Officers of J&K.

NIC Anantnag was required to set-up a Computer Cell in the PM Camp Office at Railway Station Khandipahri-Anantnag. The Computer Cell established by NIC was visited by various Ministers and Officers from PM Office. Besides Computers, Printers, Photo Copier and Fax, high speed Internet Connectivity was also provided in the Cell. The facility was extensively used during the last two days.

The facilities provided by NIC were appreciated by the Officers from PM Office is a matter of great satisfaction that Officers from PM Office spoke highly in voice about NIC, its nation-wide presence and the facilities provided by NIC during such profile visits.
