Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi chaired the first National Conference of Chief Secretaries at Dharamshala on 16th June and 17th June 2022 to prepare a common development agenda for higher economic growth, ahead of the Governing Council Meeting of NITI Ayog later in the year. The National Conference of Chief Secretaries was attended by about 200 officers, including representatives from the Centre and all the States and UTs.

The first-of-its-kind conference, which was held in hybrid mode (physical as well as virtual participation), was an exercise towards strengthening the partnership between the Centre and the States to build a shared vision for Amrit Kaal.  

Lauding the success of the Aspirational Districts Programme, the Prime Minister said the Government should strive to make these the ‘Inspirational Districts’ of India and extend the programme to the block and city levels.

NITI Ayog has entrusted the task to NIC VC Division and NIC Himachal Pradesh. Sh. Bhupinder Pathak, DIO Kangra was the Nodal Officer of the Digital Team for setting up and arranging live sessions and coordination with BSNL.  NIC HP team, led by SIO HP and Sh. Shailender Kaushal, TD, coordinated with Sh. S. Sundaram, Scientist-E, NIC at NITI Ayog. The NIC HQ VC Division team extended full support under the leadership of Mr. VTV Ramana, DDG, MR. K.P. Sharan, Scientist-F and Mr. Ashok Kumar, Scientist-E, in arranging the seamless sessions.  The fibre connectivity of 2 links of 100 Mbps each from BSNL and 100 Mbps backup connectivity through Private ISP JIO was arranged at the Venue.

The IT setup was established in the office of PMO at Venue, PMO Camp office at Circuit House, PPS to PM, Cabinet Secretary Office at Hotel Raddison, NITI Ayog Secretariat at HPCA Cricket Stadium, H.P. Govt. GAD Office and CS HP Office. The efforts of NIC teams were highly appreciated by the NITI Ayog and Himachal Pradesh Government in making the event a success in terms of technical support.
