Guwahati: 23-12-2021 - In the spirit of Good Governance Week, DC, Kamrup Metro Shri Pallav Gopal Jha, IAS, launched the Kamrup Metropolitan District instance of “SWAGATAM” visitor management portal. Swagatam is a cloud-based application software developed by NIC which can be configured by any Government office. The system was customized as per the requirement of Kamrup Metropolitan District Administration in coordination with NIC Kamrup Metropolitan District for efficient public-official interface. This will facilitate citizens’ ease of appointment and interaction.

Launching the portal, Kamrup (Metro) Deputy Commissioner Shri Pallav Gopal Jha, IAS, said that the portal would enable citizens to take appointments with the officials at mutually convenient time slots. “Such a move would save time of citizens & officials and enable easy & efficient delivery of services to citizens through interpersonal citizen-official interface,” he said. Citizen can access the portal at https://kamrupmetro.swagatam.gov.in and take appointments with the Deputy Commissioner and other senior officials of the district administration.
