"Pension Adalat" held through VC by Pension & Public Grievances Department, Assam, with Nagaon District pensioners

For the first time, the Pension & Public Grievances Department, Govt. of Assam, after discussion with NIC, has held a Pension Adalat through Video Conferencing mode on 24th February 2021 from 10.00 A.M. to 4.00 P.M.

 

In the first phase, Nagaon District was covered for settlement of long pending pension cases through the virtual "Pension Adalat". In Guwahati, at the NIC Assam VC Room, senior officers from the Pension & Public Grievances Department were present and in NIC Nagaon District VC Centre, the pensioners attending the Adalat were present alongwith district officials.

 

In his address, Shri V S Bhaskar, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Pension & Public Grievances Department, spoke about the benefit of Virtual Pension Adalat through Video Conferencing. He expressed his satisfaction at such convenient method adopted for settlement of pending cases with the help of NIC.  Senior Officers present from the P & PG Department, Government of Assam, were the Secretary, Joint Secretary, OSD and Director of Pension, along with Officials from Education Department. About 86 (Eighty Six) pension cases were discussed and solutions were provided for early settlement. The Nagaon District Administration, with the help of NIC Nagaon District Centre extended all help to the pensioners present in the Adalat.
