Sh. Jai Ram Thakur, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh presented the Budget in HP Vidhan Sabha on 9th March 2018 and launched two Mobile Applications, namely, mBudgetHP and mEcoHP. He said that these Apps will enable the citizens, financial analysts, journalists and departmental officials to carry the entire Budget and Economic Survey on their Mobile devices. Sh. Vineet Chawdhry, Chief Secretary, Dr. Shrikant Baldi, ACS-Finance, Smt. Manisha Nanda, ACS to Chief Minister, Sh. Pradeep Chauhan, Economic Advisor, Sh. D.D. Sharma, Special Secretary-Finance, Sh. Anupam Kashyap, Director IPR, were present during the launch ceremony.

The mBudget mobile app is bilingual and available on Android phones. The entire budget, including the Speech of the Finance Minister, List of Works, Demands, Receipts, Expenditure etc is available for browsing in off-line mode, after initial installation. After downloading of data, the app can work in offline mode too.

The mEcoHP mobile app is bilingual and available for both Apple and Android platform. The entire Economic Survey gets downloaded along with the App which can be read as a book without the requirement of Internet. The app provides access to Economic Survey of Himachal Pradesh for Current and Previous year

These Apps are available on NIC eGovmobileapp store at https://egovmobileapps.nic.in/, HP Himachal Pradesh Government portal at http://himachal.nic.in, Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

Both the Mobile Apps have been developed by the NIC Mobile App Competency Center, Shimla along with the respective NIC software development teams. Sh. Daljeet Singh, Scientist-D, Sh. Mukesh Kumar, Scientist-B and Sh. Sushant Abbot, Network Engineer provided the technical support during the launch of these Apps.
