Meghalaya-eSamikSha online system for monitoring and compliance mechanism launched by Shri K. S. Kropha Chief Secretary, Govt. of Meghalaya on 31st August, 2016

Chief Secretary Shri K. S. Kropha, Govt. of Meghalaya launched the Meghalaya-eSamikSha Portal on 31st August, 2016 at State Secretariat, Shillong in the presence of Dr. Shreeranjan and H. Marwein, Additional Chief Secretaries, R.M Mishra and R.V. Suchiang, Principal Secretaries, and other senior officials along with Dr. Shubhag Chand, HoD, Cabinet Secretariat Informatics Division, Cabinet Secretariat, Rashtrapati Bhawan.

eSamikSha, is a real time online Monitoring and Compliance Mechanism has been developed by Cabinet Secretariat Informatics Division, to fast track the compliance of pending action points, proposal, targets, etc. of Various Ministry/Department/Organization/Agency of Govt. of India and Government of States and UTs. The Portal has been designed in such a way that it will enhance efficiency, bring transparency, reduce the need of protracted correspondence and improve the communication between Government to Government (G2G) and Government to Business (G2B) and vise-versa.

In this context, Training workshop has been conducted by Shri Yogesh Kumar Agarwal, Scientist ‘B’ of the Cabinet Secretariat Informatics Division on 30th August, 2016. During the training session all the modules of Meghalaya-eSamikSha have been explained in detail. It has also been explained that how Meghalaya-eSamikSha will cater their inter-departmental needs. Shri K. S. Kropha, Chief Secretary, Govt. of Meghalaya, launched the Meghalaya-eSamiksha portal with keynote address on 31st August, 2016, followed by an introductory speech by Dr. Shubhag Chand HoD, NIC Cabinet Secretariat Informatics Division with a brief description about the Meghalaya-eSamiksha portal.

During the launch Shri Kropha, while addressing the officials during launch also said that eSamiksha is going to be a good tool for Govt. of Meghalaya to work efficiently and expeditiously, he also said in the recent past many officials from Meghalaya Govt. discussed with him regarding the pendency with in their respective Departments or with other Departments of Meghalaya Govt. Now eSamiksha will help us to speed up the work flow between the Departments of Govt. of Meghalaya. He emphasized on the optimal use of Meghalaya-eSamikSha for monitoring & compliance of follow-up action on the decision taken in various meetings. He also directed to use the VIP Reference module for monitoring & tracking of the various references received from the VIPs. He has also emphasis to replicate eSuvidha portal for resolving a variety of issues with a view to fast track the approvals for setting up and commissioning of public, private and PPP Projects and to remove implementation bottlenecks in these projects in the State of Meghalaya.
