Workshop on Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) and Harishchandra Yojana online applications was organized in the DRDA, Conference hall, Chhatrapur, Ganjam, Odisha. It was presided over by Sri Ashok Kumar Meena, IAS, Secretary, G.A. Department, Govt. of Odisha. Other dignitaries participated in the workshop include Sri  Prem Chandra Chaudhary, IAS, Collector, Ganjam,  Dr. R. N. Behera, Sr. Technical Director, NIC, Bhubaneswar, Dr. R. K. Das, TD, RDC, Berhampur, Addl. P.D., DRDA, all the  Sub-Collectors, all the BDOs, Executive  Officers of ULBs  and other concerned officials. The workshop was conducted by Smt. Namita Senapati, Scientist-D, NIC, Bhubaneswar and Sri Subash Chandra Misra, DIO, NIC, Ganjam, Chhatrapur.  

Under the CMRF workflow application, the beneficiary should apply to the Sub-Collector online for assistance less than Rs10000. For assistance between Rs 10000 to Rs 30000 the beneficiary should apply to the Collector and for more than Rs. 30000 the beneficiary has to apply to the State Govt. Similarly in the Harishchandra Yojana financial assistance is provided in the death cases. In rural areas Rs. 2000 and in Urban areas Rs. 3000 would be given to the beneficiaries. In both the cases payment would be as per Direct Benefit Transfer. The system would capture the Basic details of the beneficiary, Treatment / Death details as well as the Bank details.

The system would be implemented as a pilot project in Ganjam district of Odisha.
