eSamikSha, an online Monitoring and Compliance Mechanism has been developed by NIC Cell, Cabinet Secretariat, to fast track the compliance of pending action points, proposal, targets, etc. of Various Ministry/Department/Organization/Agency of Govt. of India and Government of States and UTs. The Portal has been designed in such a way that it will enhance efficiency, bring transparency, reduce the need of protracted correspondence and improve the communication between Government to Government (G2G).

In view of the success of the eSamikSha System, Govt. of J&K had desired to host J&K-eSamiksha similar to eSamiksha with minor customization for the use of J&K State. J&K-eSamikSha monitors the compliance status for various categories like Items CM’s Tour Note, Presentation to Chief Minister Project Monitoring, New Initiatives etc. Customized Information Dashboard also presents the statistical view, various correspondences at a glance.

In this context, a two days capacity building session on J&K-eSamikSha portal, were conducted for the officials of various department of Govt. of J&K. Training sessions have been taken by Shri Akash Kumar Gupta, Scientist-B and Shri Yogesh Kumar Agarwal, Scientific Officer, Cabinet Secretariat Rashtrapati Bhawan. During the training session all the modules of J&K-eSamikSha have been explained in detail. It has also been explained that how J&K-eSamikSha will cater their inter-departmental needs.

Details of the training sessions are as follows:

Day 1 (August 20, 2015): Shri Hirdesh Kumar, Secretary (I.T.) Govt. of J&K, chaired the Session. About 25 Nodal Officers from various departments of Govt. of J&K attended the training.

Session 1: In first session, a power point presentation on eSamikSha was given followed by detailed demonstration of various modules of J&K-eSamikSha on Demo Server to the Nodal Officers of various departments.

Session 2: In this session, training was given to Meeting Admin & Admin role user(s) in J&K-eSamikSha. After this session, Meeting Admin was successfully able to enter around 25 meetings comprising of 393 Action-Point under the CM’s Tour Note Category on live J&K-eSamikSha portal. 

Day 2 (August 21, 2015): About 25 Nodal Officers from various departments of Govt. of J&K attended the training.

Session 1: Hands-on session was conducted for the Nodal Officers of various departments, to clear the doubts and queries regarding J&K-eSamikSha portal.

Session 2: Shri BHARAT BUSHAN VYAS, Principle Secretary to Hon’ble CM, Govt. of J&K, chaired the Session. Brief introduction of eSamikSha was given to the officials followed by discussion session on J&K-eSamikSha that how it can bring transparency and help to fast track the compliance of pending action points, proposals, targets, etc. of various Departments of Government of J&K.

Shri Abhay Kumar, State Informatics Officer, J&K State, coordinated the training sessions and assured the participants about all possible technical help from NIC in smooth implementation of the Project.

The session has been ended with the question & answer session and vote of thanks.
