Mr. Anthony DeSa, Chief Secretary, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh launched the State Level web portal ‘Online Projects Management System’ for Madhya Pradesh on Thursday, 17th July 2014, at State IT Centre after Jharkhand, Odisha, Uttarakhand, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Puducherry and Assam. Anil Swarup, Additional Secretary and Chairman of the Project Monitoring Group, Cabinet Secretariat, Govt. of India was also present on the occasion. e-PMS, an online Projects Management System developed and managed by NIC, Cabinet Secretariat Informatics Division, Cabinet Secretariat, for fast-tracking industrial and infrastructure projects with investments in the range of Rs 100 to Rs 1,000 crore.

On the occasion of the launch, Chief Secretary DeSa said that this will facilitate industries with upto Rs 1000 crore investment and projects will be completed in time. This system will strengthen good governance. The Chief Secretary exhorted to use this online facility in a better way in state’s industrial development. Website capsecpmg.gov.in/mp will be available for industrialists and entrepreneurs.

Speaking on the occasion of, Anil Swarup, Additional Secretary and Chairman of the Project Monitoring Group, Cabinet Secretariat, Govt. of India informed that this paperless online system is investor-friendly. Through it, investors will be able to get their problems and issued solved without wandering here and there. Private entrepreneurs and officers of Mantralaya, departments, state and district level can use the system, which is totally transparent.

The portals of the states and the Central PMG are connected. So once a developer registers with the state PMG, all state-related issues are sent to nodal officers there, while those relating to the Centre immediately come to the Central PMG. Industries get the immediate response from the automatic mailer and they can see the current status of concerned projects through this platform immediately after the subgroup meeting is over if the decision being entered online.

Hari Ranjan Rao, Secretary Information Technology apprised about facilities investors will get from e-PMS Portal. He informed that state government will appoint nodal officers in the departments concerned with industries and investors, who will report to the Chief Secretary about disposal of cases pertaining to their departments. Arun Bhatt, MP TRIFAC’s Managing Director expressed gratitude towards the Union Cabinet Secretariat for this facility.

Giving a brief presentation on the e-PMS system, Shubhag Chand, Head of Department, Cabinet Secretariat, Information Division, said industry members can use the online solution for any bottleneck the industries are facing during the implementation stage, it would provide assistance in generation of MIS reports such as graphical reports, financial reports and tracking of actual investment for the projects entered in the system.

Commission Industries VL Kanta Rao, other senior officers, representatives of industrial associations and industries were present on the occasion.
