IVFRT Capacity Building Programme on cFRO in Chennai

Video Conference based IVFRT Capacity Building Programme on cFRO Module was organised in Chennai for the NIC District Level Officers as well as Officials of FROs of Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry on 21st December 2012. Above Capacity Building Programme was inaugurated by Mr. V. Vumlunmang, Joint Secretary (Foreigners), MHA from VC Studio of NIC-Delhi. While inaugurating the programme, he appreciated the efforts of NIC for using the latest technologies in disseminating the information to the end users. The VC based training programme was attended by all the NIC District Officers of Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry along with their respective FRO Staff and they made the programme a grand success.

Mr. B N Shetty, DDG, NIC inaugurated the ‘Implementation Week of C-FRO’ with the support of VIDYO Desktop. He praised the concept of One-to-One Knowledge Sharing Programme using VIDYO Desktop. He also stressed the importance of implementation of major projects like C-FRO. He appreciated the efforts taken by NIC-TNSC as highly commendable and praiseworthy. He also emphasized that such kind of training techniques should be used by other states.

Mr. Anuj Sharma, BoI, MHA made a special thanks to NIC-Chennai and Dr. Kannan, FRRO, Chennai for the successful implementation of Student Form (S-Form) in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He also praised the efforts made by NIC-Chennai for the effective implementation of Student Form in other places. Dr. Kannan, FRRO-Chennai, made an elaborate presentation on various IVFRT Modules to the audience. The session was highly informative and domain specific to the stakeholders. He also thanked NIC team for the effective implementation of online Information and Management System (IMS).

Mr. P Krishna Prasad, SIO, Tamil Nadu, mentioned the importance of the IVFRT Project to all the NIC District Officers and appreciated the NIC-IVFRT, Chennai team members. He also reiterated that necessary support will be extended in implementing the IVFRT Projects in all the Districts of Tamil Nadu under his guidance.

Mr. A Ravikumar, TD, NIC, Delhi, made a comprehensive presentation on C-FRO Module to all the NIC District Officers and FRO Staff over VC. He clarified the queries raised by the participants and also welcomed the suggestions as well as feedbacks. Mr. V Suresh, TD, IVFRT-State Coordinator (TN & Pondy) thanked the dignitaries for inaugurating the VC Based Capacity Building Programme. He also thanked Dr. R. K. Mishra, TD, NIC and other members of IVFRT for their active support and guidance. He insisted the end-users to actively participate in the forthcoming implementation week through VIDYO Desktop and get the benefits.
