Haryana: Training on e-Tendering & Works Monitoring System at HIRMI, Kurukshetra

The e-Tendering software of NIC has been implemented in Directorate of Supplies & Disposal and Haryana Irrigation Department (HID) of Haryana. The software is running from last 3 years & around 1000 tenders have been published till date. NIC Haryana is continuously organizing training programmes for bidders & departmental users. Two such programmes for engineers of HID have been organized at Haryana Irrigation Research and Management Institute (HIRMI) in the months of June 2011 & August 2011. Around 50 engineers have been trained through this programme. Similar programmes have been arranged for HAFED, Tourism, HUDA & HVPNL who shall be implementing this software.

The Works Monitoring System, earlier developed for PWD (B&R) in 2005 and later customized for Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) in 2007 and HID in 2009, is successfully running in the three departments. Operational training and division wise feedback sessions are being arranged at HIRMI regularly to acquaint field level users of latest developments in software.  Recent Training cum Workshop held at HIRMI was attended by officers of other departments like CADA. They have shown keen interest in implementation of the software in their department with some customization.

Training on e-Tendering was given by Sh. S.S. Duggal, Technical Director and Sh. Amit Mittal, PSA, NIC Haryana. Training on Works Monitoring System was given by Sh. Neeraj Singhal, Scientist ‘C’, NIC Haryana. Training was attended by officers of the rank of Executive Engineers and above.
