Arunachal Pradesh Embraces Digital Land Governance

In a significant step towards digital land governance, the Hon’ble Minister for Urban Affairs, Land Management & Civil Aviation, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, Shri Balo Raja, officially launched the National Generic Document Registration System (NGDRS) and the Land Information System of Arunachal (LISA) on 3rd February 2025. Developed and implemented by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) under MeitY, these digital solutions aim to streamline land registration, revenue collection, and land record management.
The NGDRS platform ensures a uniform and transparent process for registering deeds and documents, allowing citizens to complete property registration online with digital verification and secure payment gateways. Meanwhile, LISA facilitates comprehensive digitization of land records, making land ownership and revenue transactions more accessible, efficient, and fraud-resistant.

With the rollout of NGDRS and LISA, Arunachal Pradesh has taken a major leap in digital governance, setting a benchmark for efficient and technology-driven land administration across the country.
