Workshop on CollabFiles, eTaal and Secure Gov Intranet in Progress

A one-day workshop on CollabFiles, eTaal and Gov.in Secure Intranet Web Portals was organized by NIC Himachal Pradesh on 10th December, 2024 at H.P. Secretariat Shimla for the officers of various Departments of Himachal Pradesh. During her speech, she focused on the importance of these eTools and expressed hope that participants will actually use these in their daily work.

Sh. Prabodh Saxena (IAS), Chief Secretary, Government of Himachal Pradesh inaugurated the Workshop and he encouraged all the participants to make full use of these tech tools. Smt. Rakhil Kahlon (IAS), Secretary, Ayush and Digital Technologies & Governance was the Guest of Honour.

Sh. I.P.S. Sethi, Deputy Director General and State Coordinator, NIC HP along with his teams from NIC Headquarters and NIC Telangana played a key role in the workshop. The speakers gave very valuable insights into these key digital initiatives aimed at improving Government Office operations.

Over 135 officers from various Department of Himachal Pradesh actively participated in the workshop. Officers from NIC Himachal Pradesh State Centre and Districts also attended the workshop. The objective of this workshop was to familiarize the participants with the skills and knowledge to fully leverage the power of CollabFiles, eTaal and Gov.in Secure Intranet Web Portal. These platforms aim to facilitate secure communication, enhance data handling and streamline operations across Government Offices. The workshop featured a series of presentations followed by the live demo by Dr P. Gayatri, HoD CollabFiles and Dr O.P. Gupta, Director (IT), NIC Delhi.

The Workshop started by the lighting the lamp by the dignitaries and felicitation of the guests. Sh. Ajay Singh Chahal, DDG and SIO NIC HP welcomed the Chief Guest and all the participants and gave an overview of these digital tools and highlighted their importance for the implementation in Himachal Pradesh. In his introductory address, he also mentioned various ongoing projects being handled by NIC Himachal Pradesh for making the processes simpler, transparent and accountable.

Sh. Bhupinder Pathak, Senior Director NIC Himachal Pradesh, delivered vote of thanks and assured the full support in adoption of these initiatives in the State.
