State Level Workshop on eDAR application was organised in Odisha
eDAR(Electronic Detailed Accident Report) is an extension of iRAD (Integrated Road Accident Database) and can process the Accident claims of the victims in a transparent and hassle free manner by the different stakeholders for Motor Accident Compensation Claim. To kick-off the implementation of e-DAR, in Odisha, a state level workshop was organized by State Transport Authority (STA),Odisha on 16th Dec 2023 at District Culture Office Auditorium, Puri.
Shri Sunil Kumar Bansal, IPS, Director General of Police, Odisha inaugurated the state level workshop on eDAR in presence of all DIOs, DRMs and RTOs along with other senior officers from NHAI, R&B, Police, Transport and other stakeholders of Road Safety cell.
Senior Dignitaries present in the workshop included Shri Amitabh Thakur, IPS, Transport Commissioner, Shri Shefeen Ahamed, IPS, IG of Police (CID-CB), Shri Lal Mohan Sethy, Addl. Commissioner (Road Safety), Dr. Kenwar Bansal Singh, IPS, SP,Puri, Dr. Ashok Kumar Hota, DDG & SIO, Dr. Rama Krushna Das, DDG & ASIO, NIC, Shri P.K.Mohanty, Joint Commissioner (Road Safety), Shri Prasanta Kumar Nayak, Sr. Director (IT) and State Transport Coordinator, NIC, Odisha.
Shri Pawan Gupta, Project Manager, iRAD,NICSI, New Delhi explained how e-DAR will be used by different stakeholders and the requisite forms are to be filled up so that it can be helpful to the beneficiary.
It was planned to identify Nodal Officers / Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for states / UTs & Nodal Officers for MACT, LSA, Insurance, CWC etc. Authentication over demo site would be shared for practice and stakeholders can share their feedback.
The event was successfully coordinated by Shri Rabin Patnaik, RTO, Puri. The workshop ended with the Vote of thanks by Shri P.K. Mohanty, Joint Commissioner Road Safety, STA Odisha.
