Subscribee PRI – A high level meeting of Principal Secretaries held at Ranchi, Jharkhand.
A day long high level meeting, was held on 25th June 2009 to discuss the issues related to e PRI in the state. The meeting was chaired by the Principal Secretary, Panchayati Raj and was attended by majority of the Principal Secretaries and departmental heads of the state government.
The Principal Secretary, Panchayati Raj said that e PRI, when implemented will play a major role in the service delivery mechanism of the government thereby enabling e governance at the grass root level and asked the officials to highlight the various services of their respective departments especially the critical ones that can be taken up immediately under the project. Shri Shahid Ahmad, SIO, NIC Jharkhand presented a brief note on e PRI, highlighting the project, its implementation strategy and long term benefits.
A presentation was made by the KPMG, consultant appointed by MoPR,. Govt. of India on e-PRI which was followed by the discussion of the services, that are being delivered through the Panchayat Raj System, by various departments and in which the e-PRI project can play a vital role
