In continuation to the making of Digital Haryana, Sh. Ravi Shankar Prasad, Union Minister Communication & Information Technology has launched several IT initiatives of Haryana State on 27th February 2016 at Panchkula which are 105 e-Service delivery through common service centres (CSC) of 20 departments, 04 portals, National Optical Fiber Network (NOFN) of Faridabad district and more than 6000 ICT enabled gram sachvalayas in the presence of Sh. Manohar Lal, Chief Minister Haryana.

In the program organized by IT department in coordination with NIC & Hartron at Indradhanush Auditorium, MoCIT has taken a round of stalls which were showcasing the e-services/portals of all 20 departments along with one unique concept of RGI’s CRS BASED Aadhaar Linked Birth Registration Program in Haryana in which child is enrolled for Aadhar at the time of birth and linked to birth registration and a child has been enrolled in his presence. MoCIT has also taken interest in the CSC-SPV’s stall who were showcasing the telemedicine. NIC has also showcase IFMS portal, Jeevan Praman, e-Stamp and e-Gras integration with CSC. MoCIT has taken keen interest in e-stamping and queried about it.

Later in the event, these services/portals/IT initiatives have been launched by MoCIT in presence of more than 1000 CSC-VLEs, department officials & dignitaries. Some of the VLEs have shared their experiences and motivated other VLEs so that the citizen can be benefitted out of it. Chief Minister in his speech has related the word ‘DiGITAl’ as ‘Dil mein hai GITA’ and shared his vision and dreams and emphasis the role of IT for betterment of people. Sh. Ravi Shankar Prasad has shared the achievements of his ministry and applauded the Haryana for its rapid speed towards IT and announced several offering including one STPI at Panchkula. Chief Secretary Sh. D.S. Desi has informed the audience about the achievements of Haryana and ACS IT Smt. Kesni Anand Arora had apprised the audience of various IT initiatives being taken in Haryana. In this event five VLEs have been awarded for their achievements and had been presented a laptop by MoCIT. The event ended with the vote of thanks by Secretary IT, Sh. Vijyendra Singh.
