Just in seconds after Shri Narendra Modi was sworn-in as the 15thPrime Minister of India, the official website of the Prime Minister of India was made live by the NIC’s web development team with active coordination from NIC Cell at PMO. Office of the Prime Minister and IT official from Shri Narendra Modi’s team applauded the exemplary efforts and timely updating of the content to make it reach the masses across the world. The ingeniously designed website received laurels from media houses and citizens alike. The media houses have extensively covered the launch of this new website and have highlighted the quickness in bringing the site live. By receiving thousands of mails from users across the country as well as abroad within hours of its launch, this site has proved to gain much popularity worldwide.

Having an appealing and ‘decent’ look and feel, the new website of PM is rich in interactivity which connects the users to his presence on social media. The bilingual website exhibits high accessibility and can be accessed both in English and Hindi languages.

The home page of the website features sections for 'News Updates', 'Social Media Updates', 'Official Statements', and a section 'Wish the Prime Minister'. The profile of Prime Minister, PMO, the Government, Official Statements, Press Releases and the Media Gallery bringing latest photographs, videos and live events are the other important sections. Another novel section is ‘Interact with Hon’ble PM’ which invites important queries and comments from the users.
